REQUIREMENTS

Availability to work first shift
Education: B.S. in Engineering or Applied Sciences, M.S. preferred.
Experience: 10+ years of managerial experience in related product area coupled with strong people management, presentation, PC, and communication skills.


1. SUMMARY OF POSITION
Oversees the planning, development, and implementation of procedures/processes to ensure manufacturing methods,
processes and operations for new and existing products are running efficiently. Ensures the effective use of materials, equipment, and personnel in producing quality products at minimum costs. Acts as liaison with otherdepartments in releasing new products. Develops systems to maintain reports and record keeping of company products. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

2. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION(S):
Sets and tracks department goals for planning, development and implementation of new and existing products.
Manages the engineering team to perform data analysis and continuously improve quality.
Ensures effective use of materials, equipment and staff in producing quality products at minimum cost.
Interface with other departments to resolve engineering/quality issues.

3. OTHER SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Develops systems to maintain reports and record keeping of company products.
Ensures the Engineering team observes established safety rules and conducts experiments in related product area in a safe manner.

4.  KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Kknowledge in lean manufacturing, problem solving (six sigma, shainin, ) core tools, operational excellence.

5. LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY AND DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY: specify the number of employees under your charge, budget and supervision responsibilities, sales volume, etc.
Depends on division product line, budget, staff size, etc.

6. PHYSICAL DEMANDS, WORK ENVIRONMENT AND REQUIRED SAFETY EQUIPMENT: Be specific
May be exposed to noise, dust, heat and cold. Safety equipment may be required in designated areas.
