Job Description
Utilize your experience and knowledge to purchase production materials, electronic components, PCBA
and sub-assemblies in support of the company’s operations utilizing new and/or existing suppliers. In addition, manage quality, cost, and on-time delivery of goods and services of assigned supply base.
Responsibilities/Functions
- Main contact with client regarding material availability and material shortages
- Provide CTB status to customers internal & External onmaterial shortages
- NPI analysis and material procurement until it becomes regular production
- Analyze and provide material status in case of pull ins/increases or decreases
- ECN meeting attendance and follow up, involve Buyer in communication
- Analize excess and obsolete materials and provide information for actions to reduce impact in our inventory
- Collaborate with program managers providing status on critical parts.
- Program buyer will be the first point of escalation in case of any shortages
- Attend customer meetings and CFT meetings in case status for materials is needed
- Report uPPV, PFA and other fees to Program manager and/or customer
- Critical material shortage follow up with Buyer team
- Follow up on materials without price list or set up
- Provide training to staff to ensure compliance for the purchasing activities
